The Six Ugliest Super Bowl Rings of All Time

#6 1985 Chicago Bears
It pains me to say it but I really don't like this ring. The Bears' wishbone C is classic and if the ring had simply used this rather than a huge diamond border and a massive rock in the middle it would've been fantastic. You can just imagine the meeting: 'Surely we can squeeze another diamond in there…' Such a missed opportunity. The team probably thought they were going to have a pile of different Super Bowl rings in the '80s though.

#5 1994 San Francisco 49ers
Is that meant to look like a line of Lombardi trophies? Really? The 49ers have five of them – you'd think they would know what they look like by now.

#4 1999 St Louis Rams
The Rams have one of the best helmet logos in the league and until they diluted it all following this sole Super Bowl triumph, had one of the better design identities in the NFL. How they could make a ring without the iconic ram horn is beyond me. Maybe they were saving that for the following year. Oops.

#3 2010 Green Bay Packers
The supposedly classy Packers franchise said players wanted their ring to be huge and full of bling. They got this monstrosity. It's got more than 100 diamonds stuck on it, is the heaviest Super Bowl ring ever made and is the most un-Green Bay thing in existance.

#2 2008 Pittsburgh Steelers
I don't mind the use of colour but the way it's arranged with those six big diamonds sticking out it looks like a young girl's favourite toy jewellery. I imagine when you're on your sixth Super Bowl ring you start to struggle.
#1 2000 Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have one of the weakest logos in the NFL but it's never looked messier than on this ring. The eye is awful and just ends looking like a bird's head lying on a BBQ grill. A poster on the NFL UK forums said it looked like something that would come out of a carnival vending machine. I can't argue with that.

  1. 2010 Green Bay Packers is not ugly. It's simple with 4 diamonds in each the corner representing the 4 Super Bowls. Just because it's big it's ugly? You must be a patriot fan because you missed that hideous Super Bowl XXXIX ring.

    1. I just think that Packers ring is too OTT for a classy team. I mean, 100 diamonds? Come on! You think Curly Lambeau would approve?

And no, I'm certainly not a Patriots fan!
